M.A.R.E. has instituted two programs tailored to the proficiency levels of each participant.

M.A.R.E. Level 1 – Introductory

The program focuses on the below points:

  • Crew combination & Hierarchy
  • Table setting & napkin folding. Mastering the art of making a table a stage for guests’ satisfaction /Service Terminology and explanation to work with international teams
  • Profiling guests and pre arrival procedures. The importance and methods to effectively communicate with brokers and agents
  • On board protocol and Etiquette and the international etiquette rules and cultural diversity
  • Providing Silver Service and different styles according to the guest’s profile
  • Mixology steps and consideration, non-alcoholic etc.
  • Caviar, Foie Gras, Oyster, Sushi Etiquette
  • Tea Etiquette & Afternoon tea
  • Introduction to Finest Wines & Champagne
  • In house laundry and details about housekeeping procedures for cabins
  • Plating techniques, carving and filleting as well as preparing offshore activities

M.A.R.E. Level 2 – Advanced

The program focuses on the below points:

  • Providing silver service and different styles according to the guest profiles and cultural backgrounds
  • Flower arrangements and decorations tips, theme parties /dinners and celebrations or special events. The art of upselling on the yacht.
  • Cocktails & Mocktails elements and presentation, smoothies and fruit platters combination for kids and adults, aromatic waters and beverage recipes according to the occasion
  • The art of turn down and tips from around the globe to surprise and delight the guests.
  • Advanced Valet Services and how to handle with deliciated items and garments such as silk, cashmere , etc.
  • Team building and the importance of maintaining wellbeing for self and others
  • Food safety (HACCP) management system
  • How to apply professional Interior administration onboard
  • The purpose and usage of Interior Information systems, checklists, Inventories & documents
  • How to receive goods, supplies following safe working practices and quality control of goods.
